i used redsn0w to jb iphone 3g and then used ultrasn0w to unlock carrier. worked fine but cydia kept crashin so i tried to do everything again and now my phone says connect to itunes and wont boot up. i tried itunes restore but it keeps failing (error 1015), then i tried recboot but it cant kick the dfu mode off. so im stuck with ibrick now any suggestions what to do


version 0.9b3 was released for windows and mac os x, and it allows ios 3.0 through 3.1.2 to be jailbroken. it includes support for all devices except the ipod touch (3rd generation), and supports a tethered jailbreak on iphone 3gs units and ipod touch (2nd generation) units with new bootroms. in addition, this version supports custom boot and recovery mode logos, as well as verbose mode on bootup. 


i had tried to no avail to jailbreak or downgrade my iphone 3g (running 4.1) at least 9 times with every program out there. (redsnow, greenpoison, pwnage, snowbreeze, limera1n. my ispw that i was using for a restore each time finaly stopped working in itunes. it left me no choice but to update to 4.21! i uninstalled itunes and re installed with itunes 10. then i came across redsnow for 4.21!!! it worked right out of the gate. i am running cydia and no speed or battery issues. i can reboot device and respring and cydia is still working (not sure if its tethered or not, but it doesnt appear to be. (3g phone anyway)


all, i have loaded 2.6.1 ipsw for iphone 4 with redsn0w. but still it boots to the lock screen with the error message "unable to obtain lock" with the small blue dot. the redsn0w does not update the system and do not remove the file. is there any suggestions? thanks, it's been a few weeks since i jailbreak my iphone 4.2.1 with redsn0w 2.1 and it's been working fine but the apn problem. i've lost my data on my sim card and i have to unlock the device before i connect my new sim card. i'm using a sim card from globe at the moment. i've already tried 2 sim cards and the problem continues. i've never had this problem before and just yesterday i was able to connect a normal sim card without any problem. now, i can't even connect a normal sim card. i have to use my unlocked iphone 4 (it was a gift) and then i have to unlock it with ultrasn0w. it used to work fine without any problems but now, i can't use any sim card.. any suggestions? thanks for any help you can provide. 84d34552a1
