apart from stolens insecurity, i loved a reason to resist, the first in the trilogy, as it tackles a crucial developmental phase, and most importantly because it forces the reader to come to terms with the fact that we are all mortal. that is the fact with which my growing consciousness is dealing. this is a book that opens our eyes, that widens our heart, that tears our hearts into pieces.

although it has some adult themes, with the adult names, it is an extremely well written, and i would have to say, if i'm not mistaken, a one of a kind novel, the only one of its kind. i cannot really understand why it is popular everywhere, but its popular. it works the same at every level, it works at every age, and although i think that this book was written by one person in all, there are authors before it, and after it, who have provided inspiration. this book is a book that made me want to be a writer, a memoir writer, a writer that would read into my personal life, as i was growing up. maybe this book will help you connect with your younger self.
