SaltoMVC

SaltoMVC is a file generator for entities MVC for app CRUD

About

The idea is that every time you start a new project, if you decided to do a project with MVC pattern, the task of creating controllers, models and routes becomes repetitive and cumbersome.

With this module you can automatically create controllers, models and routes of entities in your project. Are generated based on templates files, which, you can modify to suit your needs.

This project is designed to MVC project with (optional):

• Express Framework
• Sequelize ORM

Installation

Recommended way

npm install saltomvc -g

This will install crest globally so that it may be run from the command line.

As node.js module

npm install saltomvc

This will install crest as a module to be used as a part of some other project.

Clone with git

git clone git://github.com/gianfrancolombardo/saltomvc.git

Usage

If installed globally you can just run (in your project folder)

saltomvc [entity1] [entity2] ... [entityN]

if installed local module you can just run (in your project folder)

node ./node_modules/saltomvc/main.js [entity1] [entity2] ... [entityN]

Customs templates

You can edit the templates to taste, to obtain a solution that fits your needs.

The template are in the folder:

./node_modules/saltomvc/lib/templates/

Important:

You must understand and respect the sentensia {{ENTITY}} because that's where is replaced by the name of your entity
