Many believe that it was a group of Kanikars. Later they evolved into the Dasa Kondani group, comprising of Debashis Das, Radhakrishna Das, Suresh Das, Ananda Das, Ramesh Das and Sankar Das. Later still, the group evolved into the Sashwat and the Karmika.
