Better Log

Welcome to Better Log! B.L is a simple console logging package that is very very simple. It's not even 50 lines. But anything you can do quicker should be done quicker. Also, this package can easily be much bigger, which I plan to do.

How To Use

First, import the package. ESM or CommonJS, the choice is yours.

CommonJS

const log = require("stdout-utilities");

ESM

import * as log from "stdout-utilities";

Custom Commands

You can make custom logging functions! Here's how it works.

Step 1: Initialize the function

To initialize the function. We will use a class called "Log" which takes in 2 arguements, a name and a color. The name can be whatever you want. Here is a list of colors:

• blue
• blueBright
• bold
• cyan
• cyanBright
• dim
• gray
• green
• greenBright
• grey
• italic
• magenta
• magentaBright
• red
• redBright
• strikethrough
• underline
• yellow
• yellowBright
• white
• whiteBright

Here's what that would look like:

Here's what it would look like for an already existing function, let's say "error".

import { Log } from "stdout-utilities";
const error = new Log("error", "red");

But we will be using the first example.

Step 2: Execute your function!

That's all you have to do to set it up! Now you can run it by doing:

const myCoolLog = new Log("myCoolLog", "red");
