open source is an operating system, not a brand name. it is based on linux and is used by several different companies. it is used by the government and by major businesses to run their it departments. there is no "open source edition" of microsoft windows. the term open source is only used to refer to the source code for the linux operating system. microsoft windows is a closed-source system that only works with microsoft windows.

i have a problem with my computer and i tried everything that i could do to fix the problem. the computer randomly shuts down and wont boot. i tried to use a recovery disc but it gives me the same problem. i tried to use my friend's windows 7 ultimate disc to try to fix the problem but it gives me a error in the file system and it wont let me do anything with my files. i then tried to use a windows 7 ultimate x86 lite disc i bought but it gave me the same problem.

hello people! i'm wondering if anyone can help me. i have recently changed my laptops power supply to the same unit as my main pc. since changing the power supply my pc has been randomly crashing, i've tried to do a hard reset and nothing worked, even the factory reset button has stopped working, nothing will load. my data and files are not affected, but if i'm in the middle of a program and it crashes then i'm left with a black screen and a command prompt. i have noticed that when the computer starts up it takes a while to load and it is very slow, this happens with or without the power supply changed. i have had this laptop for about 3 months and it's been flawless, i can't imagine it's hardware. i am not an expert and have been working with computers for about 3 years but i'm starting to feel like a pc novice. i have tried:'safemode', 'no cd-drive', 'clean install', and many more, but nothing will load, the power supply doesn't seem to be the problem, i just don't know what to do. i'm a college student and this laptop is my only computer. thanks for your time. 84d34552a1
