even today, national geographic continues to make a significant contribution to the body of knowledge and understanding of global science. most of the team that travelled to scotland in the early 1970s were graduate science students in the united states. as a result, the bulk of the expedition’s research took place in the united states, in washington, d.c. and other locations. a substantial proportion of the loch ness monster, however, was obtained during the expedition, by studying the banks and the surrounding area. some of the data was acquired on board a british navy motor launch, which traversed the loch from the east side in july 1972.


content: this game uses large, interactive maps which enable you to view all area in game detail. the maps allow you to select areas and zoom in on them. the maps can be moved about the screen and manipulated as you wish.


gameplay is fairly simple but as there is the added challenge of collecting samples of nessie blood, which offers a temporary increase in strength, it certainly will not be to anyone’s ease. the controls are very simple to use, with the right analog stick moving the player and the left acting as a jump button.


there are, however, some issues with the game. whilst the graphics are obviously dated, they are still quite good considering the era and the game is also quite short at only 6 levels, meaning that there isn’t even much of an end to the game.
