This tutorial shows how to use MDX and VRayPro-X for the best possible image quality. MDX is extremely time consuming and can give beautiful results. However, it is not recommended for beginners. This tutorial assumes your modeling and rendering knowledge is at a beginners level. The more you render, the better you get. Work on the following tasks every time you render: fine tune your matte painting, use the node editor to split a node to isolate the important parts, use the node editor to move an image or group of images closer or farther away from your model, move an object away from the walls of your scene, keep your render times down to 70 - 100% of your rendered image’s file size. This will also save you a lot of time in the download of your final render to your computer. Here is the file available for download. Contact me if you have questions !
All normal stuff - camera, materials, light, environment settings etc and so on. This is where you will make the change to your app settings. You will need to find the "advanced settings" of your Vray application and make the changes there. You will see a panel on the left - make the change under"rendering" or whatever it is called. You will need to click the plus sign in front of the entry "render preset" to select Vray for rendering. From then on in you will only need to make the changes to the presets not the application itself. I dont recommend ever changing the core Vray application for use of Vray. You will need to do one or two minor changes to the application each time you have a different render or start a new render. This is just to apply the new preset to the "rendering presets" you are using. Not one you are going to save and use permanently. 84d34552a1
