Lotide

A mini clone of the Lodash library.

Purpose

BEWARE: This library was published for learning purposes. It is not intended for use in production-grade software.

This project was created and published by me as part of my learnings at Lighthouse Labs.

Usage

Install it:

npm install @aalibarre/lotide

Require it:

const _ = require('@aalibarre/lotide');

Call it:

const results = _.tail([1, 2, 3]) // => [2, 3]

Documentation

The following functions are currently implemented:

  • function1(assertEqual): The point of this code is to help test the rest of the codes listed down below. It compares two values to see if they equal one another.
  • function2(assertArrayEqual): This function takes in two arrays to determine if they are equal by using the eqArrays function. The assertion is that if they are not equal the console will log assertion failed and if they are it will log assertion passed.
  • function3(eqArrays): This functions purpose is to equally compare two arrays.
  • function3(head): This function only retrieves the first element of the given array.
  • function4(tail): This function retruns every element except the first element (head) of the given array.
  • function6(middle): This function takes in an array and returns the middle-most elements of the array.
