Installation

1. Install the package

yarn add --dev @devoxa/cypress-log-to-terminal

2. Import the command in cypress/support/commands.ts:

import { addLogToTerminalCommand } from '@devoxa/cypress-log-to-terminal/command'
addLogToTerminalCommand()

3. Import the plugin in cypress/plugins/index.ts:

import { addLogToTerminalPlugin } from '@devoxa/cypress-log-to-terminal/plugin'

export default (on: Cypress.PluginEvents, config: Cypress.PluginConfigOptions) => {
  addLogToTerminalPlugin(on, config)
  return config
}

Usage

describe('SignInPage', () => {
  it('renders the page successfully', () => {
    cy.visit('/sign-in')

    cy.logToTerminal('This message will show up in the terminal', { andThis: 'too' })
  })
})
