Lotide

A mini clone of the Lodash library.

Purpose

BEWARE: This library was published for learning purposes. It is not intended for use in production-grade software.

This project was created and published by me as part of my learnings at Lighthouse Labs.

Usage

Install it:

npm install nicholask/lotide

Require it:

const _ = require('nicholask/lotide');

Call it:

const results = _.tail([1, 2, 3]) // => [2, 3]

The following functions are currently implemented:

  • function1(...): description
  • function2(...): description
  • function3(...): eats ass
  • head(...): returns first item in array
  • tail(...): returns everything but first item in array
  • middle(...): returns middle value of array
  • assertArraysEqual(...): returns statement between two arrays determineing if equal
  • assertEqual(...):
  • assertObjectsEqual(...): returns if two objects are exactly equal
  • countLetters(...): returns count of letter in a string
  • countOnly(...): returns count with callback
  • eqArrays(...): returns if arrays have equal length
  • eqObjects(...): returns if objects are equal length and number of keys
  • findKeyByValue(...): returns key by its value
  • letterPositions(...): reurns position of letters
  • map(...): receives an array and modifies each item by callback
  • takeUntil(...): executes call back on function until
  • without(...): returns array sans a specific obejct
