About
getElement(value, context)
returns an element when passing these values:
- element that is instanceof Element
- object with a property element
- selector that is valid for
document.querySelector(selector)
- object with a property index 0
context
should be an upper level DOM element. Context is only useful if you pass a selector to the value
argument of getElement()
. The default of context
is the document
object.
When passing an object to getElement(value)
the .element
property will be checked first, and then getElement(value)
will check for an element at property of index 0.
