node-fileshare
A simple and quick filesharing service hosted locally
Installation
$ [sudo] npm install node-fileshare -gFrom git
clone the project
$ [sudo] git clone https://github.com/naueramant/node-fileshare.gitAnd install dependencies
$ [sudo] npm installUsage
The intended way is to run the server as so
$ [sudo] node-fileshare -sAs a deamon in the background (maybe using forever)
And share a file by adding it to the server as so
$ [sudo] node-fileshare -a PATHThis will generate a link to the file on you system which you now can share.
OBS
For people to be able to access your files on your computer you must forward port 3000 (default for node-fileshare) on your router to your computer.
Options
usage: node-fileshare [options] PATH
-n SHOW NOTIFICATION Shows a system notification when file is added
-c COPY LINK Copies the file link to clipboard holder
-s SERVER This starts the main file server
-a PATH ADD This adds a file to the main server
